Palawan is one of the provinces that can be found in the Philippine archipelago and is situated in the region of MIMAROPA with Puerto Princesa City as its capital. This province is perhaps the biggest one in the whole of the Philippines if jurisdiction were to be the issue as its islands span across all the way from Mindoro towards the south west, in Borneo, and lies in the middle of the Sulu Sea in the south eastern portion of the country and the north western in the South China Sea. The approximate measurement of the land mass of the island is about four hundred fifty kilometres or two hundred eighty miles long, and fifty kilometres or thirty one miles wide. Palawan is an Island in the west of the Philippines. The capital of this Island is Puerto Princesa.
Puerto Princesa is like most capitals you will find in the Philippines with not much going on for visitors. It is a town to get yourself sorted with essentials before you move around the island. There are a number of ATM's here and this is the only place on the island where you will find them so if you need cash get it here and make sure you have enough until you get back otherwise there are a very few places that will give you a cash advance usually with a commission of 10%.

By: Cedric CanierroWhenever we hear Philippines, we think of luscious forests, warm smiles of Filipinos and white sand beaches. Speaking of beaches, Boracay always comes to your mind as a beach-freak. Aside from the infamous Boracay, there are other white sand beaches in the tropics. Pamalican Island, apart from Boracay, is a small island that belongs in Cuyo Group of Islands located at the heart of Palawan and Panay. It is also the home of the high-end Amanpulo Island Resort.
