Upon your arrival at the port of Ormoc you will be greeted with many smiling faces and a modeern city complete with shops, hotels, restraunts and two small "malls". But travel just a short distance out of town and you find yourself looking at a lifestyle that was lived a hundred years ago! Water buffalo pulling carts and plows, grass huts called locally "payogs" dot the rice fields surrounding you. Beautiful lush green is everywhere. A tropical paradise in somes view. Many expats call Ormoc "home".
