Davao is a bustling metropolis in the heart of southern Mindanao, one of the biggest islands in the Philippines. It is a sprawling city and notably one of the biggest in the world in terms of land area with more than 2,400 square kilometres. It has been dubbed as the "Gateway of Mindanao," being its status as unofficial capital of Mindanao and also as a good hub for travelers wanting to explore the region.
